The purpose of this course is to provide the knowledge and understanding of managing and enhancing the soft tissue restorative interface, mainly in the esthetic zone with natural definition. This course will address the management of the soft tissue as related to diagnosis, tooth preparation design, concepts of provisionalization, communication with the surgeon, emergence profile development and management for crowns and ovate pontics, impression procedures, delivery procedures, and maintenance. Each of these will be discussed in an interactive environment to support the clinical knowledge and comfort level of the participants and to ensure optimal success in practice.

This review session is designed to reinforce the basics, while establishing a solid foundation as you begin your first academic year. Reviewing the fundamentals, gathering data for proper diagnosis and becoming better communicators through the written and verbal communication are the goals and objectives for this session. Several operatories will be set up to review diagnostic techniques and skills, including comprehensive examination and an in-depth discussion of the relevant data and findings across the dental disciplines. Group will be split into small teams and will rotate through each station, spending about 20-30 minutes in each operatory. The session will wrap up with an all-group Q&A session.

This is a treatment planning session as prepared and documented by SSC member advisors. Charting, history, radiographs, photos and pertinent information needed to treatment plan a case are made available to the group prior to the meeting. Members compare treatment plans during this session and discuss the criteria basis of their recommendations.
The goals of this course are to enhance the member's ability for formulate collaborative treatment plans and increase knowledge of diagnostics and risk parameters in arriving at treatment recommendations.
